Since it opened in 2003, the school has offered quality teaching in line with the French national education curriculum, and encourages the development of each child in a caring and respectful environment.

Initially known as the École Française de Siem Reap (EFSR), the school has been run by a non-profit parent association since 2008. It is accredited up to 3ème and was renamed Lycée Français International in December 2024.
